Space Invader arrested on Orchard street (NYC) while installing a new mosaic piece

Space invader, the french artist known from his mosaic pieces has been arrested. This was reported by Mark Miller owner of an art gallery on Orchard street (Source). Mark received a call by the police that they arrested Space Invader and his crew while pasting a mosaic piece above the Ernest Sewn Clothing shop at the intersection of Orchard and Broome street. 

Mark Miller himself removed the mosaic piece from his wall. We wonder why! He stated that he won't sell the piece. A shame that such beautiful work of art that is meant to be on the streets has been taken down. At least we still have the pictures.

It's not the first time that Space Invader has been arrested. Back in 2011 the french artist was arrested in Los Angeles.

Banksy arrest is one big Hoax!

Rumours on the internet say that the world famous and still unknown street artist Banksy is arrested and that his identity is revealed. I was a bit skeptical when I heard the news and I probably felt it right because this might be one big hoax.

As noted on business insider:

Don't believe it — the whole thing seems to be a hoax. We just placed a call to London's Metropolitan Police, who confirmed that the Banksy is still safely under cover.

The details in the press release are quite specific. It claims that Banksy is Paul William Horner, a 39-year old male born in Bristol, England. And it says that he's "currently being held without bail on charges of vandalism, conspiracy, racketeering and counterfeiting."

Maybe the joke came from Banksy himself? Or is it just stupid luck that people instantly believe a rumour? Tell me what you think in the comment section below.
